La NWOBHM è stato un movimento musicale emerso in Gran Bretagna akka fine degli anni `70 e che ebbe il suo apice all`inizio degli anni `80. Questo fenomeno, che ha avuto un impatto significativo sullo sviluppo del metal e del punk negli anni a seguire, vide la nascita di numerose band che hanno influenzato anche altri generi musicali.
